ISJL Community Engagement Fellowship
The ISJL’s Community Engagement Department works with a variety of partners, from nonprofits to congregations to public schools, to develop and implement service projects that impact the quality of education in local school systems. The programs offered to students are all secular in nature, promoting literacy, conflict resolution, and more.
Another aspect of the Fellowship is helping implement congregational outreach and community engagement modules, providing opportunities for Southern and Jewish communities to partake in meaningful service and explore issues of social justice through a Jewish lens.
ISJL Community Engagement Fellows divide their time between the ISJL office, going on congregational visits to lead programs on social justice, and spending time working alongside communities throughout the region, particularly in schools and after-school programs.
The Fellowship position is open to applicants for the 2018-2020 term!
