Literacy Programming
We're proud to work with community partners to spearhead several programs aimed at building literacy skills and fostering a lifelong love of reading. These programs include the Literacy Achievement Bonanza (LAB), a week-long literacy day camp, and Our Reading Family, a weekly program in partnership with libraries to build literacy and life skills for entire families.
TAP (Talk About the Problems) - Conflict Resolution
TAP (Talk About the Problems) gives students the support of their peers to resolve conflicts peacefully. The process of peer mediation encourages students to talk through their conflicts and work together to arrive at a peaceful resolution. Peer mediation relies on a cohort of trained mediators to work in pairs and mediate conflicts among their peers. Learn more about the full TAP peer mediation program and TAP workshops.
ASK: Jewish Social Justice Modules
The Act, Share, Keep (ASK) Jewish Social Justice modules are a diverse array of 90-minute programs that bring together innovative activities and discussions focused on the intersection of social justice and Judaism in the South. We put our staff on the road to visit communities and provide training to congregations and other community organizations interested in partnered, systemic change.
