Overview
These days, Jewish websites are as varied and versatile as the Jewish community! For basic knowledge and articles on just about everything, MyJewishLearning.com is a great first stop. For some of our other frequently-used resources, see below. This is by no means a comprehensive list. These are just a few of the ISJL's favorite sites – there are many, many more out there! Start building your Jewish-resources-on-the-web-library...

For Music
  • Sounds Write Productions sells almost any Jewish CD you might want to buy from modern Jewish singers/songwriters.
  • Hot Shabbat has some songs available for downloading – mass distribution is not legal, but downloading a song for your personal classroom use is encouraged!
  • Many Jewish performers have their own websites, sometimes with free MP3s, lyrics, or even sheet music – spend time immersing yourself in the music of Rick Recht, Debbie Friedman, Mah Tovu, Saul Kaye...
  • For audio recordings, historical resources, a virtual museum, and much more, visit The Lowell Milken Archive of Jewish Music. You can spend hours there, or grab what you need in a few easy clicks!

For Holidays and Hebrew Calendars
  • There are many websites which provide dates and times online. For example, find candle lighting times for anywhere in the world at Candle Lighting Times; find a calendar with all the parashot (Torah portions) for the year
  • A calendar with all the parashot (Torah portions) for the year, Hebrew/English date conversion, and most other Jewish-calendar related topics at the Hebrew Calendar website.

For Crafts & Memory Making
  • Learn about scrapbooking and document preservation in this great article from the Scrapbook website.
  • Visit our Oral History section for questions to ask your loved ones and great oral history resources.

For Torah and Text Study
  • For younger students, Torah Tots provides some fun resources and activities – sort through to find what is appropriate for your group.
  • Aish HaTorah has a parshah study for every level – family, youth, lively, young adult…! Shabbat weekly, holiday, on and on!
