The ISJL Program Bank: Making Your Jewish Education Dreams Come True!

By Gabi Cohn

Have you ever wondered what sort of crazy ideas and programs the Education Fellows have created? Every program that is requested or dreamed up by a Fellow is placed in the ISJL Program Bank. The Program Bank is full of over 700 fully scripted programs that can be sent or brought to any community, whether your Fellow is around for the event or not.

We have programs for all ages and all interests. We have teacher trainings, such as Teaching T’filah through multiple intelligences as well as mad’richim trainings. Our repertoire also includes Friday night services, such as a Simon and Garfunkel Service; adult education programs, such as "Harlot or Heroine: Jewish Femme Fatales in Art and Text"; family education programs, such as "Civil Rights and Jewish Obligation"; and all-school programs, such as "Journey through American-Jewish Sports History."

But wait, there’s more! We even have programs for youth groups, such as Exploring Prayer through Yoga or Inside Out Shabbaton and programs for every holiday including, Star Wars Clue Chanukah Dinner!
As you plan out the year, the ISJL is here to help. The program bank is an excellent way to mix things up and do an exciting program for a holiday or any old day, even when your Fellow is not in town.

With so many programs it can be hard to keep track of what is available. The Fellows have an inventory of programs, complete with the title of every program and a brief description. It is broken down into 20 themes for ease of use. From ice breakers to lock-ins and from God programs to movie programs, we have it all. Any community can get the inventory, all it takes is a simple email or call to your Fellow and the treasure that is the Program Bank will be unlocked. The key to all your program dreams coming true is just a step away!
