How Green is You Torah? Exploring Judaism’s Environmental Ethic
Did you know that, at its core, Judaism is a deeply earth-based tradition? That Jewish holidays and practices are environmentally minded and the Torah is filled with ecological wisdom? In this session, using the southern region as examples, we will explore what Judaism has to say about our relationship to the planet, and how we can learn from our tradition to think, act, pray, eat, and live in ways that are more in touch with the earth. This is a free event, but please consider donating to support future southern Jewish programming at the ISJL and MSJE. |
