Making a Gift of Securities

Why give to the ISJL?

Thank you for considering a gift of securities in support of the ISJL. It is often advantageous to contribute long-term appreciated securities directly to the ISJL, rather than selling them and donating the proceeds of the sale. Why?

  • The ISJL is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
  • You may be able to claim the full market value of donated shares as a charitable deduction on your income tax
  • You may be able to avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in the value of your shares given to the ISJL
  • Please consult your tax professional for more information!

To contribute securities directly to the ISJL, please notify us of your intentions to transfer stock so we may identify, allocate and acknowledge your gift.

To do so, please contact:

Betsy Samuels
Email: samuels@isjl.org
Phone: 601-362-6357
