The Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life connects, supports, and celebrates Jewish life in the South.
Even in the face of a global pandemic, we will be there to support your community as we prepare to welcome the High Holidays this fall. 2020 is a year like no other - but together we'll find solace in the kehillah (community) the season brings.

What will the High Holidays look like this year? This summer, Rabbi Caroline Sim, the ISJL's Director of Rabbinical Services, led a conversation with leadership from small southern Jewish synagogues about options for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur worship in the midst of a pandemic. The full conversation from July 2020 is available in the video to the left. The accompanying slides are available here.
As everyone plans for a season of reflection and renewal like no other, we have cultivated a multitude of resources for how to welcome the High Holidays this year. We are grateful to the many Jewish organizations, communal leaders, and community partners who shared their materials and insights.
